Frequently Asked Questions

Your appointments are available through a link that will bring you to your secured and private virtual waiting room. There is nothing to download and it’s a simple process. The link for the virtual appointment will be emailed to you when you book an appointment. I recommend bookmarking this waiting room to make it easier for follow up appointments. You will also receive appointment reminders with the link in them.

Virtual consults provide an important face-to-face conversation that allows us to connect as well as offers me the opportunity to assess you visually. While there is room for some short follow up appointments to be conducted over the phone the majority of visits are with video.

I am licensed to practice in Ontario, Canada. Even though I practice virtually, all of my patients must also live in Ontario.

Although not covered by O.H.I.P., many extended healthcare plans provide coverage for naturopathic medicine consultations and acupuncture treatments performed by a naturopathic doctor. Contact your extended healthcare provider to determine if your benefits package includes coverage for naturopathic medicine or acupuncture performed by a naturopathic doctor.

Direct billing is not currently being offered but is being considered for the future. You will be charged with a credit card that is stored on file at the end of the appointment. An invoice will be provided to you for insurance purposes and you can claim the appointment cost if you have extended health care coverage (Insurance/benefits).

No, the appointments are conducted virtually. Currently there are no in person appointments at this time.

Your first appointment will include a review of your intake form, health history, and goals. You will also review a plan for the next steps and any recommendations for bloodwork, supplements, other products and/or referrals to other practitioners that could be beneficial to your treatment. Once complete, I will upload the protocols discussed in your appointment as well as any additional documentation to your patient portal within 48 hours of your appointment.
